Let see how you can use this function for Capture Desktop and Capture Pro users:
From the software’s main menu, select File/Job Setup/Output
Select System 1 or System 2
Click the Send To box, then select Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 from the pull down menu
Click Setup, then enter the URL of the SharePoint site under Host Name
Enter Site Name, Library Name and Folder Name as desired
Enter your login information
Open the Index tab to create folders in SharePoint libraries and assign index field values in Capture Pro/Desktop to SharePoint library columns.- To create a folder in a library, select Setup to launch the formula editor and create formulas by selecting Capture Pro/Desktop index field names from the list
- Select desired Document Type
- Enter formulas for all the SharePoint columns that require mapping by clicking the ellipses (…) button to bring up the formula editor
If you wish, you can save the settings as a new Job Setup
Scan your document or batch; when you select Output Batch, the images will automatically be output to the designated SharePoint destination(s)
For Smart Touch users, it is easy to set up a task shortcut:
Select SharePoint as your Scan To destination
Select the Modify icon to bring up a dialog box
Enter the URL of the SharePoint site
Select a folder, if desired
Set up your login information
The Smart Touch SharePoint tool allows you to check the status of scanned files being uploaded to the SharePoint server by Smart Touch. Smart Touch maintains a log file (.txt) that has the status of all SharePoint jobs.
The Smart Touch SharePoint tool is available in the system tray once you have initiated a job to SharePoint. The tool icon is available in the System Tray until you exit the tool.
If you are scanning many files to SharePoint, you may want to leave the Status window open so you can easily monitor the status of the files as they are being uploaded.
Click the Smart Touch SharePoint tool icon to display the options.
Click Status to display the progress of the current scan job.
Click Show log to view the log file.
Click Clear log to remove all information about the previous scan jobs from the log file.
Click About which provides information about the Smart Touch SharePoint tool.
Click Exit to close the Smart Touch SharePoint tool. If you exit the tool while a file is being uploaded the message, Uploading files in process. Are you sure you wish to stop uploading and exit the application? will be displayed.
Exiting the Smart Touch SharePoint tool while you have other documents to scan to SharePoint may prevent the files from uploading.
